This is one great training tool. Fantastic range and reliability. Our young brittany female at first wants to run all over the place but used to go too far for comfort. A short session to let her know what the collar was all about and just talkling to her with the vibrator feature was all it took to let her know she was going too far out. While hunting the use of the vibrator feature replaced the whistle signals very easily. One day she had seen a coyote almost 300 meters out and took off after it nt wanting to listen. I let her get a half kilometer out and let her have a temporary jolt on which she immediately turned and ran back to me as fast as she had run out there.

As far as durability goes, I had lost the handheld unit on a trip and went out the next day and the pup found it in 4 inches of fresh snow and pcked it up still working just fine and still registering most of a full charge.

I would not hesitate to recommend the product and this web site for both support and products.
